Job description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area.  Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

St. Vincent Catholic Schools seeks a passionate and responsible Assistant Football Coach (Linebacker Coach) for our High School football team to lead and mentor student-athletes. The ideal candidate should be a positive role model promoting teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and personal growth in a Christ-centered environment.

Job Responsibilities

Plan and conduct practices that develop skills, physical fitness, and teamwork

Supervise and manage student-athletes during practices, games, and travel

Teach and reinforce good sportsmanship, respect, and Catholic values on and off the field

Collaborate with the Athletic Director, other coaches, and school staff to ensure a positive athletic experience

Communicate clearly with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and team needs

Maintain equipment and ensure student safety at all times

Follow school and league policies and diocesan guidelines, including Safe Environment protocols

Model Christian behavior and promote the mission of Catholic education through leadership

Job Requirements

Prior coaching or playing experience in the sport is preferred

Knowledge of the rules, strategies, and techniques of the sport

Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the values and teachings of the Catholic Church

Ability to lead with integrity, fairness, and compassion

Must complete all required diocesan Safe Environment training and background checks

First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
