Job description

WhatsApp Brand Marketing is looking for an experienced integrated marketer and storyteller to elevate the brand and drive global cultural relevance, threading the needle across our brand campaigns and developing high-impact efforts that drive brand preference and engagement aligned to business and brand goals. The ideal candidate combines integrated brand marketing experience with a track record of building brands for audiences at scale, and has experience driving cross-functional partnerships for a high-profile consumer brand. How this role works: this is a generalist brand marketing role on a new team built to take on a broader range of problems, not one market or one project. Instead of owning a single lane, you will help the team prioritize the problems and audiences that matter most for our users and the business, then work across them as our always-on system of work shifts. We are looking for someone energized by range, who can move between very different problems and bring the same rigor and brand judgment wherever the team needs it most.
Brand Marketing Manager, WhatsApp Responsibilities:
  • Own the day-to-day creative development and execution of integrated programs that ladder up to WhatsApp's brand goals
  • Flex across multiple areas of the brand, picking up and handing off initiatives as priorities change
  • Connect brand campaigns with always-on and partnership moments so the brand shows up consistently across touchpoints
  • Partner closely with cross-functional partners across product and brand marketing, in-house and external creative agencies, consumer insights, marketing decision science, and communications
  • Track and report on content and campaign performance to determine its effectiveness and drive optimizations
  • Surface standout global content, trends, and conversations to push our approach forward, flexing between strategic and tactical execution as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in brand marketing, including developing and executing consumer-facing brand campaigns from strategy through production and measurement
  • Experience developing brand positioning, messaging frameworks, and creative briefs that guide multi-channel campaign development
  • Experience using brand health data, consumer research, and campaign analytics to generate insights and inform strategic recommendations
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional stakeholders including creative, media, research, and product marketing teams
  • Experience contributing to brand planning processes such as annual goal-setting, investment prioritization, or measurement framework design

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to accelerate creative development, audience research synthesis, or campaign performance analysis with measurable impact
  • Experience marketing consumer technology products, social platforms, or digital services to broad consumer audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience managing external creative agency relationships and leading integrated campaign development across multiple media channels
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Familiarity with brand tracking methodologies and experience translating brand health metrics into actionable strategic recommendations
