The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA)* is recruiting for Stewardship Program Manager, Annual Giving. In this role, you will provide support of donor retention and revenue goals, develop and implement a comprehensive stewardship communications and donor recognition plan for annual donors (gifts below $25,000 major gift level). Collaborate with and provide resources to WFAA development teams and campus advancement partners on their annual giving stewardship strategies to ensure a consistent donor experience. This position will be a combination of remote and in-office work but will also consider a 100% remote candidate.

Responsibilities Annual Giving Stewardship Strategy and Plan- Develop a multifaceted, multi-vehicle stewardship communications and recognition plan in collaboration with internal colleagues for annual donors who give at varied levels, achieve key milestones, and demonstrate promise to become loyal and longstanding supporters of UW-Madison.
- In collaboration with the Annual Giving team, develop an effective mix of recognition and gift impact reporting communications delivered via digital methods including ThankView, SMS, and traditional media.
- Establish and maintain the First Time Donor program.
- Oversee strategies, implementation, communications, and recognition opportunities for consecutive year donors.
- Collaborate with internal partners on personalized stewardship touches when appropriate.
- Execute and enhance the stewardship plans for key programs including:
- Day of the Badger
- Fill the Hill
- Thank a Badger
- Monitor, evaluate and report on results toward annual giving retention and revenue goals.
Collaborate and Educate - Engage with the Central Stewardship team on strategy, planning and comprehensive program building on behalf of the stewardship and donor relations continuum.
- Develop and maintain toolkits, templates, best practice recommendations, and other annual giving stewardship resources for campus advancement staff and WFAA development teams.
- Provide timely information on WFAA stewardship resources and best practices through internal staff and campus partner training opportunities.
- Provide annual giving stewardship training opportunities to WFAA and campus partners. As feasible, provide annual giving stewardship consultation services for development units.
- Collaborate with Annual Giving and development teams to assess gaps in unit stewardship practices and identify solutions toward improvement.
- Develop ongoing exchanges with annual giving stewardship colleagues at Big 10 and other peer schools. Benchmark against peers and recommend potential new approaches for WFAA.
- Attend virtual and in-person continuing education to keep up with best practices in the donor relations and stewardship industry.
Other - Collaborate with the WFAA Marketing and Communications team to update annual giving impact stories across channels and provide content for the Digital Experience team.
- Support Chancellor's Annual Fund stewardship needs in coordination with the appropriate donor experience team members and Office of the Chancellor
- Coordinate process for the Chancellor's annual gift acknowledgements.
- Coordinate process for the Parents annual gift acknowledgements.
- Coordinate process for Raimey-Noland gift acknowledgements.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- 5+ years' development or related experience, preferably in higher education, which includes a focus on annual giving and stewardship/donor/customer relations.
Other Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to prioritize, independently problem-solve, and work collaboratively and effectively with WFAA colleagues and campus partners.
