Summary
Assist the Yard Supervisor(s) with the management of the Yard personnel and processes. Provide leadership and direction to Team Members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Learn to perform and provide direction for various Yard processes including but not limited to, tagging, scanning, digging out, clearing issue lanes and shuttling vehicles.
Responsibilities
Primary
  • Provide leadership to Team Members at the Supervisor's direction to ensure operational goals are met while maintaining an efficient flow of vehicles to their required locations.
  • Ensure Yard team members to follow safety policy and procedures.

Secondary
  • Lead by example and ensure Team Members follow Glovis policies and guidelines.
  • Report to the Supervisor any Team Member that fails to follow procedures or demonstrates poor work performance or negative behavior.
  • Report any vehicle concerns to the Supervisor including but not limited to: damaged, no start, wet interior, dead battery, not in location.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction required
  • Ability to give clear directions and follow up on tasks

Education & Experience
  • HS Diploma/G.E.D. Required
  • Must have valid Driver's License Required
