Job description

About the Role:

The HOA Associate Relationship Manager at Columbia Bank plays a key role in supporting our Community Association Banking division. In this position, you will work alongside a dedicated team of Relationship Managers to drive business development, manage existing HOA client relationships, and help deliver customized Treasury Management products and services. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for current clients while actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities - all in support of enhancing the financial operations of our property management clients. This role blends sales energy with strong relationship-building skills, and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in commercial banking.

  • Identify and contact new HOA & Property Management companies (prospects) via cold calling
  • Set new business sales appointments using a systematic approach of cold calling, emails, and other marketing methods and tools (marketing templates, bank sponsored events, tradeshows, etc.)
  • Consult with HOA Relationship Managers on newly identified HOA depository opportunities to jointly develop new clients for the Community Association Banking division
  • Generate additional opportunities with existing customers
  • Participate in select events, tradeshows, and customer site visits in support of the Relationship Manager by promoting the bank's available services and financial products
  • Assist in coordinating and registering for industry tradeshow events and show logistics (collateral materials, shipping & booth setup), which may require minimal travel
  • Develop a clear understanding of both prospect and customer needs and strategies, with an ability to provide advice and solutions using Columbia Bank's custom HOA products and services
  • Support the Relationship Manager and Client Service team in ongoing communication with customers, including coordinating and presenting routine Customer Client Reviews and Due Diligence reporting
  • Assist the RM in independently monitoring clients' use of Treasury Management services, updating them on new enhancements, and serving as an escalation point for issues where commercial customer service and the Client Service team need assistance
  • Manage customer relationships through the Bank's CFM system to ensure customers are receiving the care and service that meets their expectations
  • Discuss and evaluate current business requirements to anticipate additional customer needs and/or concerns; follow up on deposit and credit line expirations and renewals on a regular basis
  • Assist in managing account level exception pricing communication with appropriate officers of property management clients and/or association boards
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and departments to help achieve customer goals and address customer needs
  • Support Bank compliance efforts by completing pertinent courses
  • Maintain expertise regarding trends in banking products, delivery channels, and regulatory, operational and compliance issues by reading appropriate sources and attending relevant workshops and presentations
  • Assist with collection and processing of necessary documentation to open, close and renew all types of deposit and loan accounts, including consumer and commercial savings accounts, certificates of deposit and checking accounts
  • Ensure quick and accurate execution of customer requests
  • Obtain necessary information for preliminary underwriting purposes
  • Other duties as assigned

About You

  • 1+ years of experience in Branch Banking Operations, Treasury Management, Deposit Sales or related experience with a Financial Institution
  • Business Development or related operations experience in the Property Management industry will also be considered
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field required, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Applies professional guidance, consistent with Bank policies and procedures, to resolve a variety of issues in creative ways
  • Works on problems of routine to moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors
  • Builds productive internal/external working relationships

The base pay range for this role is $25.00 to $36.00.

The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location.
