Job description

Job Overview

Do you have a passion for wellness, a strong personality, and a drive to connect with people and generate sales?

Degree Wellness Richardson – CityLine is looking for an energetic, outgoing, motivated, and sales-focused Wellness Associate to join our team as we prepare to launch our brand-new wellness and recovery studio in Richardson.

This role will be especially focused on building our founding membership base before we open our doors. You will be an important part of our pre-sale campaign, helping introduce Degree Wellness to the community, generate leads, build local relationships, and convert prospective clients into founding members.

This is an active sales and community outreach position. You will spend significant time making outbound calls, following up with leads, attending and working local events, staffing promotional tables, engaging with potential members, visiting local businesses, building partnerships, and creating new opportunities for membership sales.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable approaching people, starting conversations, picking up the phone, following up consistently, and actively creating business opportunities.

If you are outgoing, confident, motivated by sales, enjoy meeting new people, and are excited about being part of launching something new in the community, we'd love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sale Campaign & Membership Sales

  • Actively participate in and help execute the Degree Wellness pre-sale campaign.
  • Help build and grow our founding membership base leading up to the studio opening.
  • Follow up with prospective members through phone calls, texts, emails, and other approved communication channels.
  • Make daily outbound calls to leads and prospective members.
  • Re-engage leads who previously expressed interest but did not complete their membership.
  • Educate prospective members about Degree Wellness, our wellness services, memberships, pricing, and founding-member benefits.
  • Answer questions, overcome objections, and guide prospects through the membership decision-making process.
  • Schedule studio tours, consultations, and appointments.
  • Convert qualified leads into founding members through consultative, relationship-focused sales.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team membership sales goals.
  • Ask for referrals and identify additional opportunities to generate new leads.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, conversations, follow-ups, appointments, and sales.

Local Events & Tabling

  • Represent Degree Wellness at local community events, markets, health fairs, fitness events, networking events, and promotional activities.
  • Staff Degree Wellness tables and promotional booths.
  • Proactively approach and engage with event attendees rather than waiting for people to come to the table.
  • Start conversations with potential members and learn about their wellness goals and interests.
  • Educate attendees about Degree Wellness and our wellness modalities.
  • Promote founding memberships and encourage interested attendees to take the next step.
  • Collect qualified leads and contact information from event attendees.
  • Schedule tours, consultations, or follow-up conversations when appropriate.
  • Follow up with event leads promptly after each event.
  • Work toward lead-generation and membership-conversion goals for events.
  • Help set up, maintain, and break down Degree Wellness event displays and promotional materials.

Community Outreach & Business Partnerships

  • Proactively visit local businesses and organizations to introduce Degree Wellness.
  • Build relationships with local business owners, managers, employees, and community leaders.
  • Identify potential partnership opportunities with gyms, fitness studios, salons, medical offices, apartment communities, restaurants, corporations, and other complementary businesses.
  • Develop referral and cross-promotional partnerships that can generate new leads and memberships.
  • Identify local events, networking opportunities, health fairs, markets, and other community activities where Degree Wellness can participate.
  • Help create opportunities for Degree Wellness to get in front of new audiences.
  • Represent Degree Wellness professionally throughout the Richardson and CityLine community.

Lead Generation & Follow-Up

  • Consistently work assigned leads and maintain an active sales pipeline.
  • Make outbound and cold calls to prospective customers.
  • Follow up with website inquiries, event leads, referrals, social media inquiries, and other prospects.
  • Contact prospects who have shown interest but have not yet enrolled.
  • Use multiple follow-up methods, including phone, text, and email.
  • Track all outreach and follow-up activity in the company's lead management system.
  • Maintain organized notes and ensure no qualified lead is left without follow-up.
  • Develop creative ways to generate new leads within the local community.

Social Media & Local Marketing

  • Support the studio's social media presence during the pre-opening campaign.
  • Help create and share content promoting Degree Wellness, founding memberships, community events, and studio updates.
  • Engage with the local community through Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other appropriate platforms.
  • Help respond to social media inquiries and direct interested prospects into the sales process.
  • Capture photos and videos during events and community outreach activities.
  • Help increase local awareness of Degree Wellness.

Studio Operations

As we move closer to opening and transition into normal studio operations, responsibilities will expand to include:

  • Welcome every client with warmth, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
  • Educate clients on our wellness services and recommend services based on their goals.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, phone inquiries, check-in/check-out, and payment processing.
  • Support member retention through follow-up and personalized service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment.
  • Prepare treatment rooms between appointments by cleaning, sanitizing, restocking supplies, and ensuring each room is guest-ready.
  • Organize retail displays and assist with daily studio operations.
  • Follow all sanitation, health, and safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to create an exceptional member experience.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of customer service, retail, hospitality, fitness, wellness, or sales experience preferred.
  • Sales or membership sales experience is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable making outbound and cold calls.
  • Confident approaching and speaking with people in person.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and personable with excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable walking into local businesses and introducing Degree Wellness.
  • Motivated by achieving sales goals and generating new business.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong follow-up skills and ability to stay organized with multiple leads.
  • Passion for health, wellness, fitness, or helping others.
  • Comfortable using technology, lead management/CRM systems, scheduling software, POS systems, email, and social media.
  • Comfortable creating basic social media content.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable participating in community outreach, networking, and promotional events.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally for events and business outreach.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is proactive, personable, persistent, and comfortable with sales.

This is not a role where you simply wait for customers to walk through the door.

During the pre-sale period, you will be expected to actively create opportunities by:

  • Making outbound and cold calls
  • Following up with leads
  • Re-engaging prospective members
  • Working local events and promotional tables
  • Engaging directly with potential members
  • Generating new leads
  • Visiting local businesses
  • Building community partnerships
  • Attending networking events
  • Promoting founding memberships
  • Scheduling tours and consultations
  • Asking for referrals
  • Converting prospects into members

The ideal candidate enjoys meeting new people, is not afraid to pick up the phone, and is comfortable creating relationships and business opportunities from the ground up.

If you are someone who takes initiative, enjoys sales, and wants to help build something from the beginning, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Compensation & Perks

  • Competitive hourly pay plus commission on memberships sold
  • Complimentary Degree Wellness studio membership
  • Employee discount on injectables
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Opportunities for additional hours through events and community outreach
  • Career growth opportunities within a rapidly growing wellness company
  • Positive, supportive, and wellness-focused team culture
  • Employee wellness perks and exclusive discounts

Join Our Team

Degree Wellness Richardson – CityLine is preparing to bring a new wellness and recovery experience to the Richardson community.

As a Wellness Associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of the launch from the beginning and help build our founding membership community before our doors officially open.

If you're passionate about wellness, enjoy connecting with people, are motivated by sales, and want a role where you can make an impact in the community, we'd love to hear from you.
