Under the direction of the Vice President of Development and in partnership with the Medical Director - Comprehensive Wellness Program, the Director - Comprehensive Wellness Program is responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the comprehensive wellness portfolio. This role drives program growth, value creation, and sustainable business performance by aligning program services with organizational priorities and market opportunities.

The Director serves as a key leader responsible for building and scaling a high-performing program through strong financial stewardship, business acumen, and a growth-oriented mindset. This leader operates effectively in a complex, matrixed environment, interacting with diverse stakeholders, and ensuring alignment across clinical, administrative, and business functions.

This role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and executive presence, along with the ability to clearly articulate the program's value proposition to internal and external audiences, including leadership, partners, and prospective clients.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Growth, Business Planning & Financial Performance

  • In partnership with the Medical Director, leads strategic and business planning efforts for the Comprehensive Wellness Program, ensuring alignment with system priorities and growth objectives.

  • Applies strong financial and business acumen to manage budgets, forecast performance, evaluate ROI, and identify opportunities for expansion and sustainability.

  • Develops and executes growth strategies, including new service offerings, partnerships, and revenue streams.

  • Utilizes analytics to assess program performance and inform data-driven decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

  • Navigates a complex organizational environment by building strong relationships across clinical, operational, and administrative teams.
  • Gains alignment and buy-in from diverse stakeholders through effective communication, influence, and collaboration.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor and partner to senior leadership, contributing to strategic decision-making and program positioning.

Program Development & Value Proposition

  • Leads the design, positioning, and continuous refinement of the program's value proposition.
  • Demonstrates the ability to "sell" the program internally and externally by clearly articulating its impact, outcomes, and value.
  • Identifies market opportunities and responds to customer needs with innovative, scalable solutions.

Operational Excellence & Program Delivery

  • Oversees the implementation of standardized processes to ensure efficient, high-quality program delivery and an exceptional customer experience.
  • Drives operational effectiveness through performance monitoring, continuous improvement, and adoption of best practices.
  • Ensures alignment with broader organizational strategies, including quality, safety, retention, acquisition and revenue targets.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provides leadership and direction to program staff, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In partnership with the Medical Director, establishes and executes a strategic vision for the Comprehensive Wellness Program, with a focus on growth, financial performance, and long-term sustainability.
  • Manages program budget, resource allocation, and financial reporting, ensuring strong fiscal discipline and business outcomes.
  • Leads cross-functional initiatives, aligning stakeholders and driving execution in a complex organizational environment.
  • Develops partnerships and identifies opportunities to expand program reach and impact.
  • Oversees program operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Tracks and communicates program performance through data and analytics, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Presents program strategy, performance, and opportunities to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism, discretion, and executive presence in all interactions.
  • Coaches and develops team members to strengthen business processes, stakeholder engagement, and execution capabilities.
  • Leads or participates in committees, initiatives, and cross-functional teams to advance organizational goals.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Five (5)+ years of progressive leadership experience with demonstrated responsibility for business operations, financial management, or program growth.
  • Demonstrated financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Experience working in complex, matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence, gain buy-in, and drive results across diverse teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate a clear value proposition and engage internal/external audiences.
  • Experience in sales, business development, or revenue growth initiatives strongly preferred (or demonstrated ability to translate value into adoption).
  • High level of professionalism, judgment, and discretion.
