The Program Manager of Nursing Support develops, coordinates, and presents an education and training program to future Franciscan Patient Care Assistants. This position plans, coordinates, and implements didactic instruction, as well as clinical instruction, supervision, and evaluation of program participants.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • Hours 8-4PM Mon-Friday. Days of the week will vary, including weekends/early mornings/evenings/nights, when class is running. No holidays.
  • Position is in-person.
  • Provide, update, and integrate didactic education/assignments, using adult learning concepts and instructional design principles, to achieve desired learning/clinical performance outcomes.
  • Demonstrate technical competence in performing procedures, and proficiency in the operation, use, and maintenance of various types of equipment.
  • Evaluate effectiveness, and promotes the improvement of patient care through the evaluation of quality assurance and improvement activities; review monthly results with the Medical Director, Director, and staff.
  • Assess the understanding of material and competency with skills in the classroom, and provide appropriate constructive feedback so that learner can improve.
  • Facilitate communication to all instructors assisting with programs, learners, and departments affected by program content.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required Associate's Degree Healthcare sciences or education
  • Required 5 years acute care setting Required
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - State Licensing Board
  • Preferred Master's Degree Education
  • Preferred 5 years healthcare educator Preferred
