The Entrepreneurship Program Manager typically oversees entrepreneurship initiatives, managing programs and partnerships in educational or governmental settings. Job description
Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an asneeded basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of the common syllabi provided.
Location: Ivy Tech Community College - South Bend
Employment Type: Part Time
Compensation: $47.35 / contract hour
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with college policy, course objectives, and the instructional needs of the Bilingual Entrepreneurship Program track.
- Provides high-quality instruction in Spanish (primary language of instruction) while effectively communicating with students, faculty, and staff in English as required.
- Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
- Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College, shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular).
- Interacts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies with college policies, campus guidelines and expectations.
- Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments.

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A qualified faculty member in the Entrepreneurship program meets the program standard with a minimum of 3 years of entrepreneurial (one who organizes, manages and assumes the risk of a business or enterprise provide Articles of Incorporation) and/or intrapreneurial (an individual who develops new enterprises within the corporation) experience, completes the RISE (Readiness Inventory for Successful Entrepreneurship) Training, and meets one of the following:
Possesses an earned master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in entrepreneurship, business administration, management, marketing, or a business-related field as appropriate to the program; or
Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master's degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 semester hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in entrepreneurship, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the program; or
Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master's degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:
- Professional field related certification (national, regional, or state)
- Three or more documented years of entrepreneurial and/or intrapreneurial experience;
- Documentation of research and publication in the field; or
- Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, vendor, or military; or
Possesses an earned bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, in entrepreneurship, business administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in one of the following:
- Professional field related certification (national, regional, or state);
- Three or more documented years of entrepreneurial and/or intrapreneurial experience;
- Documentation of research and publication in the field;
- Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, vendor, or military.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Spanish (Primary Language): Native or professional-level fluency required.
- English (Secondary Language): Professional working proficiency required, including the ability to teach, communicate, and prepare instructional materials in English.
- Teaching primarily in Spanish with English proficiency.
- Experience developing bilingual instructional materials.
- Experience supporting a culturally and linguistically diverse student population.
- Possesses an earned master's degree or bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in entrepreneurship, business administration, management, marketing, or a business-related field as appropriate to the program and has five or more documented years of entrepreneurial and/or intrapreneurial experience.
- Has demonstrated experience teaching bilingual or Spanish-speaking adult learners. Possess at least one (1) year of teaching experience at the college or university level.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction.
