Key Responsibilities
  • The Crew Welfare Coordinator is responsible for supporting the HR Department and Crew Office with various administrative tasks, such as in-port manning, defect/repair chits/requests, immigration procedures, onboarding, disembarkation, and more. They are proficient in using MS suites such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Publisher.
  • The Crew Welfare Coordinator creates and coordinates a diverse calendar of programs and activities to enhance the teammate experience, ensuring efficient setup, presentation, breakdown, and overall operation of events and teammate programs.
  • The Crew Welfare Coordinator also actively identifies activities to enhance the onboard experience for all teammates, coordinating with Entertainment and Food & Beverage and welfare supporters onboard. They host teammate activities in a personable and outgoing manner, maintaining teammate communication methods, providing regular updates to teammates and departmental managers, and creating brand-appropriate posters.
  • The Crew Welfare Coordinator also assists the HR Department with training, induction, and verification of attendance by teammates. They arrange enrichment and healthwise activities, monitor teammate areas, and maintain high visibility throughout the teammate areas. They also assist with the joining process, orientation processes, turnaround duties, immigration inspection, passport distribution, inspections of teammate areas, organizing and distributing sponsored items, and maintaining documentation for equipment inventory, monthly activity reports, and meetings.
  • The Crew Welfare Coordinator ensures all activities operate within budget and demonstrates trustworthiness in the allocation of funds for teammate activities. They represent employee needs and support welfare initiatives, provide feedback to the HR Officer, identify team members needing support, maintain confidentiality, respond empathetically, provide exceptional internal and external guest service, and demonstrate a welcoming and approachable demeanor.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • 2-5 years of experience in cruise line, hospitality, resort, or entertainment environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, mail merge) and PowerPoint, with strong administrative skills in scheduling, data entry, and file management.
  • Experience in crew engagement, public speaking, and event coordination.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams); able to support digital crew welfare initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with a motivated, positive, warm and approachable demeanor.
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of leadership, demonstrating professionalism and discretion.
  • Team-oriented and culturally sensitive, able to build rapport with diverse onboard teams.
  • Maintains confidentiality and consistently upholds company values (Respect, Protect, Connect) within an ever changing environment.
  • Supports HR-led initiatives and maintains a professional demeanor.
