You donโ€™t mind getting a little dirty โ€ฆ this could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with activities of daily living such as providing assistance with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household chores.

You donโ€™t have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

Must Haves:

  • High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate

  • One year experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities)

  • Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job

  • Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care

  • Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job

  • Reliable transportation to/from clients wherever they call home
