Job description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. ย Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

Immaculate Conception Parish and School is currently looking for a custodian to work evenings &/or weekends on an as needed basis after scheduled events for our parish and school buildings.

Job Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain parish and school facilities after scheduled events

  • Sweep and mop floors in classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms

  • Clean glass doors, windows, and other surfaces as needed

  • Dust furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces

  • Empty trash and replace liners

  • Ensure facilities are returned to a clean and orderly condition after use

  • Assist with snow removal across parish and school grounds as needed, including walkways and entrances

  • Report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate parish or school personnel

Job Requirements
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends on an as-needed basis

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment

  • Willingness and ability to assist with snow removal as needed

  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions

  • Dependable, punctual, and respectful of parish property
