Program Description
The Master of Arts in School Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential prepares individuals to serve as credentialed School Counselors in public PK-12 school settings. This program is designed for those seeking to support student development through a Christ-centered approach to academic, career, and social-emotional counseling.
Essential Functions
Role:
  • Teach courses as described and assigned
  • Discuss class progress with the program director, including teaching performance through observation
  • If supervising clinical experience: remotely supervise students according to the FPU and CTC requirements for supervised fieldwork
  • Discuss supervisee progress with the Program Director
  • Collaborate with other faculty as needed
  • Demonstrate a commitment to serving and inspiring students in an academic context that integrates your Christian faith and learning.

Qualifications
Required:
  • M.A. or Ed.D., Ph.D., Psy.D in related field of study
  • Experience as a School Counselor or Administrator
  • Hold or be eligible for a PPS Credential in School Counseling, Teaching Credential, or Administrative Credential
  • Ability to work with students, staff, and faculty in a collegial environment
  • Commitment to the Christian faith and the University's mission of Christ-centered teaching and learning and involvement in a local church.

Environmental Conditions:
