We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and setting up CNC mills (vertical, horizontal, 5-axis) and lathes, with a deep understanding of precision machining and quality standards, on 2nd shift.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and set up CNC mills (vertical, horizontal, 5-axis) and CNC lathes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Measure, mark, and verify dimensions of finished parts using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
  • Adjust machine settings, tool offsets, and feeds/speeds to optimize accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain equipment in proper working order and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
  • Record production data, job progress, and inspection results accurately.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and inspectors to resolve machining or design issues.
  • Safely lift and move materials as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in aerospace manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Familiarity with inspection processes and basic quality standards.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and workplace cleanliness.
  • Effective team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
Overtime may be required, including weekends.
