About the Organization

Young Mind Support, LLC is a leading provider of outpatient mental health services located in beautiful Salem, Oregon. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of individuals and families through accessible, high-quality mental health care. We are committed to addressing the socioeconomic factors that influence health, promoting community well-being, and providing culturally competent care to underrepresented populations. Join our passionate team of professionals dedicated to transforming lives through mental health support.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while ensuring that you can reach clients where they are most comfortable. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals and community partners, utilizing secure electronic medical records and state-of-the-art telehealth technologies to deliver effective care. You will also be part of a supportive network that emphasizes continual learning and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Young Mind Support, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based guidelines tailored to each diagnosis.
  • Providing therapy sessions using various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification, and brief therapy, ensuring adaptation to the client's unique needs.
  • Conducting initial assessments to determine clients' treatment needs, including performing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments during intake sessions.
  • Collaborating with other health care providers and community organizations to create cross-system treatment plans that enhance the support network for clients.
  • Responding to crises by assessing urgency and coordinating appropriate interventions, thereby ensuring comprehensive care and client safety.
  • Providing clinical supervision and guidance to Mental Health Workers and therapy assistants, enhancing their skill sets and therapeutic approach.
  • Leading training initiatives on clinical topics, fostering an environment of continued professional development for team members and the community.
  • Documenting client interactions and treatment progress efficiently in electronic medical records, facilitating seamless communication across the care team.
  • Utilizing the DSM-5 to formulate accurate mental health diagnoses and provide treatment for individuals dealing with complex or multiple diagnoses.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on supporting mothers and individuals from marginalized communities, many of whom face unique challenges rooted in socioeconomic factors. You'll empower clients to address personal and interpersonal issues while navigating systemic barriers to health care and mental wellness. By utilizing tailored interventions, you will foster resilience and enhance the quality of life for your clients.

Qualifications

The ideal applicant will possess:

  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or Clinical Social Work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD) from an accredited institution.
  • An independent license to practice in your state (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • The ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively while engaging with a wide range of clients and support staff.
  • A profound passion for making a positive impact in the field of behavioral health and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
  • Proficiency in using electronic record-keeping systems and effective communication tools.
Preferred Experience

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with:

  • Experience in evidence-based practices and treatment methodologies.
  • Knowledge of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, enabling effective dual-diagnosis treatment.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include:

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance to support your well-being.
  • Life and disability insurance for added financial security.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage, allowing you to practice with peace of mind.
  • An employee assistance program focused on mental health support for you and your family.
  • A structure that minimizes paperwork, allowing you to dedicate more time to client care.
  • A full caseload that ensures a busy, fulfilling work schedule.
