Chrysalis Health is seeking a Fully Remote Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking behavioral health services. In this role, you will help connect clients to care by verifying insurance, scheduling assessments, coordinating referrals, and providing outstanding customer service.
This position is ideal for candidates with experience in customer service, healthcare administration, call centers, scheduling, medical offices, patient access, intake coordination, insurance verification, or behavioral health support services.

What You'll Do
Client Intake & Scheduling
Answer inbound calls from prospective clients and referral sources
Schedule intake assessments for new clients
Coordinate appointments for clients being discharged from inpatient care
Make appointment reminder calls and follow-up communications
Explain available services to prospective clients and families
Insurance Verification
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for prospective clients
Ensure accurate documentation of insurance information
Assist clients with understanding coverage and service options
Administrative Support
Enter demographic information and maintain accurate client records
Create and manage client charts within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Ensure required intake, demographic, and billing documentation is completed
Mail intake packets and onboarding materials when needed
Track and report referral activity and intake volume
Customer Service Excellence
Deliver compassionate, professional service to clients and families
Communicate effectively with individuals experiencing behavioral health, substance use, or stressful life situations
Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to support a positive client experience
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Strong customer service and communication skills
Previous administrative, scheduling, call center, healthcare support, patient access, intake, or customer-facing experience
Strong computer skills, including email, internet applications, and data entry
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
Ability to work independently in a remote setting
Professional phone etiquette and strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, medical office, insurance verification, or patient scheduling
Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems

Schedule Expectations
This role requires flexibility to meet client needs and deliver exceptional customer service. While primarily operating during normal business hours, occasional evening or weekend availability may be required based on business needs.
