What we're looking for:
The Receptionist is responsible for managing incoming calls, supporting administrative staff, and maintaining a professional front-facing presence for the hospital. This role is essential to the smooth flow of communication and operations within the facility.
  • Be the Face of Our Hospital - Create a warm, welcoming experience for patients, visitors, and employees while managing the front desk and keeping things running smoothly.
  • Support Our People Team - Assist with onboarding tasks, personnel files, employee paperwork, and other HR projects that help our team members succeed.
  • Be a Technology Helper Hero - Lend a hand with basic employee technology questions, troubleshoot simple issues, and connect staff with IT resources when needed.
  • Bring Fun and Creativity to the Workplace - Help plan employee engagement activities, recognition events, celebrations, and creative initiatives that make work more enjoyable.
  • Help Make Our Hospital Shine - Use your creativity to spruce up bulletin boards, decorate for holidays and special events, and contribute fresh ideas that keep our environment welcoming and inspiring.

How You'll Contribute
  • Answer and transfer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally.
  • Assist coworkers with preparing documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows-based systems.
  • Provide administrative support to the leadership team for miscellaneous projects.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance to represent the hospital to board members, medical staff, visitors, and the community.
  • Stay organized and carry out duties independently, using sound judgment and analytical skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Human Resources experience preferred
  • Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role preferred; student experience in higher education considered.
  • Requires a positive, team-oriented attitude and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use downtime productively.
  • Proficient in use of computers.
  • Customer service experience or aptitude required to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and the public.
  • Willing and excited to learn.
