Work Hours: M-F (37.5 hours) (Weekends if required)

Work Location: Dover, DE (Hybrid - once or twice a month, could change in the future) Candidate must be local (Must be within 90 minutes from Dover DE)
 

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform/Observability Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale telemetry and automation solutions. This role focuses on building and maintaining Open Telemetry (OTel) pipelines, developing CI/CD workflows, and enabling infrastructure automation in hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.

The ideal candidate combines strong engineering and operational expertise, with experience in modern DevOps, observability, and GitOps practices. You will work closely with Platform Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, self-service solutions and ensure the reliability and performance of enterprise systems.

Job Requirements: 

Key responsibilities and required experience include:

  • Architecting and implementing Open Telemetry (OTel) pipelines
  • Infrastructure automation using Ansible as Code
  • CI/CD pipeline development and operational support
  • GitHub Actions and GitOps workflows
  • Log aggregation and telemetry pipeline troubleshooting.
  • Enterprise platform engineering and operational support
  • Experience working in hybrid cloud/on-prem enterprise environments.
  • Strong documentation and collaboration skills
  • Experience with building self-service workflows

Preferred technologies/platform exposure:

  • Grafana Cloud / Grafana Enterprise
  • Open Telemetry Collector
  • Ansible Automation Platform
  • GitHub Enterprise
  • Terraform
  • Zscaler
  • Linux administration
  • Azure and/or AWS exposure
  • Grafana dashboard development and observability engineering
  • Experience supporting Zscaler-related engineering and integrations.

This resource will work closely with Platform Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure teams.

  • The role requires both engineering and operational support capabilities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and architectural design skills are important.
  • Public sector or large enterprise experience is preferred.
