Job Summary:
Syntricate Technologies is seeking a Power BI, SQL expert to join their team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards while collaborating with business stakeholders to meet their data needs.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models, adhering to coding standards and best practices
• Develop and maintain version control for databases and dashboards to ensure consistency and accuracy across all reports and data sources
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to understand business needs, data sources, and requirements
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and develop solutions that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations
• Debug and optimize new and existing code to improve performance and ensure data accuracy
• Develop documentation to standardize reports across the entire IT organization and ensure that reports are aligned with business objectives
• Take ownership of the Power BI tool and plan roadmaps to interact, develop, and publish reports in partnership with the business
• Manage security, access, and licensing of the Power BI tool for online services
• Create a unified database system to feed all other reports with row-level security depending on roles and responsibilities via data flows and data marts
• Track the usage of Power BI services, plan future utilization, and keep data models from passing the existing license capacity for the company not to incur extra costs
• Proactively monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
• Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and trends and apply new knowledge to improve existing solutions
• Create strong user interface and user experience design, including data visualization and report formatting, to create the best possible user experience
• Debug and optimize new and existing code
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelors Degree with a concentration in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Systems.
• 8+ years of Power BI experience.
• 15+ years of MS T-SQL development experience.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, data warehouse design, and data integration.
• Exceptional leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong creative and analytic problem-solving skills.
• Good working knowledge of Azure DevOps for version control and task/bug tracking.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
