What You'll Do

As our Baker/Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for producing a wide variety of fresh baked goods and desserts, including:

  • Fresh bread and dinner rolls
  • Muffins, breakfast pastries, and morning baked goods
  • Cakes, pies, cookies, and specialty desserts
  • Seasonal and holiday desserts
  • Creative bakery features and menu specials

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with breakfast service, including light quick-order cooking such as eggs and pancakes
  • Planning daily and weekly baking production based on menus
  • Maintaining inventory and receiving deliveries
  • Supporting food cost control and minimizing waste
  • Assisting prep cooks and kitchen team members as needed
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
  • Properly labeling, storing, and rotating food products
  • Following all food safety and sanitation standards

  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, production methods, and quality standards
  • Quick-order breakfast cooking experience preferred
  • Experience preparing baked goods and pastry items in large batches
  • Current ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification preferred, or equivalent food safety certification
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Schedule

  • Full-Time (40 hours per week)
  • Monday through Friday
  • 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
  • One Sunday each month for our popular Sunday Brunch
  • May also need to work special events, parties, and holidays
