Weekend Dayshift Position | Complex Medical Unit (Unit 4)

The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) - a nationally ranked inpatient rehabilitation hospital - is seeking a Clinical Charge Nurse (Weekend Dayshift) to lead nursing operations supporting patients, families, and staff during critical recovery journeys.

The Clinical Charge Nurse is a registered nurse with a keen interest in Rehabilitation Nursing who holds a CRRN specialty and has a history of demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership. The Clinical Charge Nurse is responsible for managing all aspects of the care of patients on their assigned unit for their shift.

What You'll Do

  • Work with patients in our Complex Medical Unit, which focuses on Stroke and Neuro patients
  • Demonstrates expertise in complex clinical nursing skills with the rehabilitation population served
  • Participate in the evaluation of unit-based activities, holding staff accountable for rounding, beside handoff, use of white boards and timely response to call lights
  • Mentors staff, including new orientees and is a demonstrated role model for staff
  • Maintains a cooperative and professional relationship among all members of the health care and program model teams by communicating information clearly, responding to requests openly
  • Focused on providing customer satisfaction including but not limited to patients, co-workers, visitors, vendors and physicians

Hours

  • Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am – 7:30pm
  • Monday 8–12-hour shift either 7:00am – 3:30pm or 7:00am – 7:30pm

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an RN or related position
  • ACLS preferred
  • Current Indiana State Board of Nursing Licensure and Registration
  • CRRN required

Preferred

  • Graduate of accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
