Job description

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler II (2nd Shift) - Cable Tray at our Reno, NV facility! The rate for this position is $22.73 + .50 shift differential per hour shift premium. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.
The core hours are Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 11:00pm.

What you'll do:
In this function, you will:
  • Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components
  • Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips and other fastening devices
  • Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams
  • Handle 50-pound parts with or without accommodation to assist with large part construction
  • Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
    • Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
    • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
    • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.

Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
  • No relocation is available for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Skills:
  • Able to operate machinery and presses safely
  • Able to read and accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings
  • Able to identify different gauges and types of raw material
  • Able to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand on feet continuously, lift, and bend during working shift with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds without assistance with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
