Job description

SUMMARY

The Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of the accounting process for the company including internal and external reporting requirements. Additional responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and monitoring operating and accounting procedures, account reconciliation and preparation of financial statements, inventory control annual report preparation, corporate accounting policies, technical US GAAP Research and External audit oversight.



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage general ledger accounting functions, including month-end close, preparation of journal entries, accruals and reserves, account reconciliations, lease accounting, fixed asset and intangible asset accounting, and bank reconciliations.

· Oversee consolidation accounting and prepare internal financial reporting for the Company’s consolidated entities.

· Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.

· Ensure accounting records are recorded in accordance with US GAAP and the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.

· Assist in the preparation/review of financial reports, annual budgets and forecasts, and monthly fluctuation analysis.

· Assist with the developing, implementing, and monitoring operating procedures to ensure company policies affecting financial matters are observed and assets safeguarded. Analyze, recommend, and execute process changes for continual improvement.

· Collaborate with other the departments to support company goals and objectives.

· Assist with accounting research and provide technical guidance, as needed.

· Assist with external audits, tax filings and other tax matters.

· Assist the Controller and FP&A, as needed.

· Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.

· Performs additional duties as assigned.


.JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent specific experience.

· Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting, including consolidation.

· Experience with a consumer goods or manufacturing organization.

· Experienced in inventory processes within manufacturing and wholesale environment.

· Understanding of US GAAP.

· Must have strong written and oral communications skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization.

· Must have strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

· Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop accounting professionals in a fast-paced business environment.

· Advanced understanding of financial transactions and the impact of accounting decisions on business performance.

· Hands-on knowledge of external audit coordination, account reconciliations, and internal control best practices.

· Experience manages core financial operations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes using the D365 General Ledger Module.

· Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.

· Strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

· Ability to work hands-on, work independently, learn quickly, and be open to change.

· Excellent analytical, math and organizational skills.

· Ensures that staff is contributing at maximum potential through rigorous hiring practices and an emphasis on training and development initiatives, including coaching and counseling direct reports in their performance and professional development, with final authority for approving pay increases, hiring decisions and disciplinary actions.

· Emphasizes ethical leadership and decision-making to protect Company’s brand and reputation.

· Establishes challenging, productive and achievable goals for direct reports; measure results by establishing checkpoints to track progress.

· Must be able to travel, nationally and internationally, as necessary.
