Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Controllerto lead the accounting and financial operations for a growing manufacturing facility. This role will serve as a key partner to plant leadership while overseeing cost accounting, inventory/WIP accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong manufacturing accounting background, a hands-on leadership style, and the ability to help modernize systems and processes within a fast-paced operational environment.
Work Model:
What You Will Do:
- Lead month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis
- Manage cost accounting processes including standard costing, job costing, inventory valuation, and WIP accounting
- Partner with operations leadership to provide financial insight related to production performance, labor efficiency, margins, and operational KPIs
- Oversee inventory controls, cycle counts, physical inventory processes, and inventory reconciliation activities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning efforts across the manufacturing operation
- Assist with ERP system implementation, process improvements, and internal control enhancements
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff while helping to establish scalable accounting processes and reporting structure
What You Will Need to Be Successful:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience with experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, WIP accounting, and manufacturing financial reporting
- Experience working within ERP systems; implementation or system conversion experience preferred
