About the role:

As a Patient Concierge, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families. You will be the first point of contact for patients, greeting them with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Your main goal will be to ensure that patients have a positive experience during their visit to our facility. You will work closely with medical staff to ensure that patients receive the care they need in a timely and efficient manner. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our Mental Health and Detox patients.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare, customer service or mental health setting is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with patient management software and general computer proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with diverse populations
  • Ability to handle sensitive situation with empathy, patience and professionalism
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism with high-stress situations
  • Strong sense of discretion and understanding of mental health challenges
  • Knowledgeable of HIPPA regulations and confidentiality requirements
  • High School or equivalent required; associate or bachelorโ€™s degree in healthcare administration, psychology, social work or related field is preferred
  • Current CPR Certification or must be obtained
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training or must be obtained

Essential Job Function of the Patient Concierge

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming environment
  • Orientate the patients to the facility
  • Assist patients with admission check-in and discharge processes
  • Assists with patient navigation within the facility, including providing directions and escorting patients to appropriate departments
  • Answers phone, screens calls, takes messages and provides information in pleasant and helpful manner
  • Ongoing knowledge of all FHE programs and services
  • Acts as a liaison between patients and any department as needed
  • Schedules and manage patient appointments, follow-ups, and reminders efficiently.
  • Notifies the proper department or personnel and follows-up to ensue patient complaints, concerns have been addressed or resolved.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
