NURSING HOME ADMINISTRATOR (NHA)

The Nursing Home Administrator is someone Mission driven, innovative, a leader with high energy and someone who enjoys the challenges of starting from the ground up. Flexibility in schedule is required. The Nursing Home Administrator will help guide the agency, providing leadership, management and compliance with all State and Federal guidelines and requirements.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Guides Department Managers in the development and use of Center policies and procedures as well as assure that proper procedures are employed when Department Managers hire, counsel, discipline, and terminate employees.
  • Concerns his/herself with the safety of all Center customers in order to minimize the potential for fire and accidents.
  • Ensures that the Center adheres to the legal, safety, health, fire, and sanitation codes by being familiar with his/her role in carrying out the Center’s fire, safety, and disaster plans and being familiar with current MSDS.
  • Consults with Department Managers concerning the operation of their departments to assist in eliminating/correcting problem areas, and/or improvement of services, then reports findings to Administrator.
  • Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights
  • The job opening is full time and requires weekend Manager on Duty rotation.

Requirements:

  • Active NHA License.Minimum of 5 years of administrative licensed experience in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Knowledge of census and survey.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in application of organizational goals and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, medical staff, clients, families and other customers in a professional manner.
  • Ability to understand state and federal regulations and keep the agency in compliance with all regulations
