Job Title: Dispatch Supervisor

Position Summary

Northeast Power Dry is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to support and oversee daily dispatch operations. This position performs the same essential functions as a Dispatcher while serving as the primary point of contact for dispatcher questions and escalated customer concerns.

The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and managing the schedules and activities of service technicians and drivers. This role requires strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills to ensure services are delivered efficiently, safely, and on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming service requests and emergency calls from customers, clients, and field personnel.
  • Determine the nature and urgency of requests and prioritize accordingly.
  • Assign and dispatch technicians and drivers to appropriate locations to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Coordinate and maintain work schedules while monitoring field operations and adjusting assignments as needed.
  • Track the status of personnel, vehicles, and equipment using dispatch software and communication systems.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with technicians, drivers, customers, and management regarding job status, schedule changes, and delays.
  • Accurately document dispatch activities, response times, services provided, and other relevant information in accordance with company policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve logistical and operational issues that arise throughout the dispatch process.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a resource for dispatch team members and assist with escalated situations when needed.
  • Support daily dispatch operations and help maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Audit completed jobs to ensure tasks, documentation, and photos are accurate and complete.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional training or certification in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or emergency management is a plus.
  • Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, customer service, ora related field preferred.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS systems, Microsoft Office, and communication tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
