SUPERVISOR: Director of Post-Secondary
JOB PURPOSE: Support post-secondary goals and objectives by implementing, coordinating, and tracking programming supports for a caseload of P4K students.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: % of Time
Coordinates, leads, and assists with the development and implementation of post-secondary programming for caseload students and recruitment of P4K (Partnership 4 Kids) high school students
Provide one-on-one support to college students and their families to promote retention, academic progress, and graduation. Maintain consistent communication with students and families through various channels to support goal attainment and implement intervention plans as needed.
Maintain accurate case notes and data tracking to monitor student outcomes and support services.
Build and maintain relationships with university and high school partners to support student transitions, retention, and post-secondary success.
Plan and implement student engagement events, such as but not limited to, lunch and learns, study sessions, and the summer bridge program.
Work independently on college campuses by meeting students in accessible campus locations.
Ensure students participate and follow the guidelines for the College Peer Mentoring Program and Laptop Lending Library to enhance academic achievement and student engagement.

Assist as needed with grant submissions, board reporting, data and outcomes assessments, program evaluations including administering student surveys, alumni network engagement and marketing student success to donors and stakeholders.

Contribute to individual, team and agency goals by assisting with programming, volunteer and development goals, including special projects, events, recruitment and retention of donors, volunteers and students and all other duties as assigned.
Participate in agency committees as needed.
Attend relevant training focusing on mentorship, volunteer management, and youth development.
Use personal vehicles or agency vehicle to drive to school meetings, student and agency special events, and as needed, provide transportation for program participants.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s degree required.
2. Preference given to bilingual candidates (Spanish and English).
2. Minimum of 2 years of working with high school or college students, preferably in areas of
admissions, financial aid, student support or teaching.
3. Strong written communication skills required for assisting with scholarship essays, letters of recommendation and student advocacy with university officials.
4. Strong computer skills required to perform essential functions listed above.
5. Skilled in verbal communication. Experience facilitating lessons to college students, public speaking to large groups and an ability to interact with multiple stakeholders (donors, college and high school administrators, volunteers, etc.).
6. Daily access to a reliable vehicle for travel to meetings and transporting young people, as needed. State minimum liability insurance requirements must be maintained for the duration of employment. Driver’s license and acceptable driving record must be maintained throughout employment. Refer to the employee policy and procedure manual for a complete list of acceptable driving information and requirements.
7. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently to achieve goals. The position is mobile and involves flexibility and travel to meet students on college campuses for retention support visits.
8. Experience and passion for working with diverse populations and students between the age of 16 and 25.
9. Ability to work efficiently within a team setting, share ideas and manage time effectively.
10. Weekend and evening availability required.
