Caregiver DSP for Behavioral Group Home
 
Pay Rate: $18.10 per hour (for this specific group home)

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SEVITA

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; 
  • DSP Year 1 and DSP Year 2 certifications - PREFERRED
  • Experience REQUIRED: At least 6 months-1 year experience in direct care of individuals with developmental disabilities (such as Autism, Down's syndrome, etc.) - AND - must have some experience working with severe behavioral challenges such as verbal and physical aggression, running away, and so on. 
  • Skills: Behavioral de-escalation, knowledge of client rights and advocacy, strong communication skills
  • Clearances: must be able to pass applicable criminal and driver history background checks and a pre-employment physical and TB test.
  • Characteristics: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
  • Licenses:  Valid CA Driver's license; must have driver history of at least one year as a licensed driver (in any US state) 
  • AVAILABILITY: All positions require working at least one weekend shift (some schedules include both weekend days) on a regular basis

Relevant experience includes: Behavioral Technician, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA, DSP with Developmentally disabled population
