Job description

Perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the maintenance and construction of the golf course and its amenities.
Must be at least 16 years of age to apply.
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE: Basic physical skills, standard tools, operating equipment, pre-maintenance and various skills.
SKILL: Demonstrated skill in the operation of equipment necessary to perform the functions of the job.
ABILITY: Understand and carry out oral or written instructions; work well with others; exhibit acceptable golf etiquette; perform heavy physical labor and tolerate abnormal climatic conditions.
TRAINING: No specific requirement - Must be 16 at least years of age or High School diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in golf course or related maintenance experience desired.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following duties are illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive:
  • Use a variety of hand tools, dig, repair holes, apply soil amendments, prune trees, lay sod; sweep or rake leaves; assist in cultural practices, spring trimming, dredge ponds and cut cups.
  • Operate a variety of mowers and specialty trim equipment; perform pre-maintenance on equipment, and under close supervision assist in equipment repair.
  • Perform golf course setup and minor irrigation repairs; prepare for tournaments; perform weekend duty; perform various cleaning duties; perform trash removal; clean rest room facilities.
  • Assist in construction projects, planting projects, hand watering, weeding, trimming around trees and flower beds and raking and edging of bunkers.
  • Perform related work as required and assigned.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Colorado driver license with a safe driving record preferred.
