Job description

Overview

Members of our golf course maintenance team enjoy working in the great outdoors preparing the golf course for play every day. You will learn a variety of fun and challenging tasks throughout the season and enjoy the camaraderie and benefits of being part of our team. We are seeking energetic and fun people to join our rewarding summer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Mows golf course to specification by using various types of mowing equipment.
  • Hand rakes sand bunkers.
  • Changes cups on putting greens.
  • Keeps course clean of litter and hazardous obstacles.
  • May be asked to mix/apply pesticides under direct supervision of a licensed applicator.
  • Performs routine maintenance (e.g. clean, repair) on equipment and storage facility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Able to work early hours beginning at 5:00a.m. - 6:00a.m., seven days a week required.
  • Able to operate motorized equipment required.
  • Knowledge of golf course etiquette and regulations required.
  • Able to perform heavy physical work for extended periods of time required.
  • Able to balance multiple assignments successfully required.
  • Able to work in varied weather conditions (i.e. extreme heat, rain) required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Able to maintain courteous and helpful behavior required.
  • Able to maintain appropriate employee appearance required (see uniform guidelines at each time clock and the employee handbook).
  • Able to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays required.
  • Must have reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time.
  • This position is not eligible for overtime pay.
