Position Description:
Green Valley Ranch Golf Club was designed by Perry Dye and is home to the Inspirato Colorado Open Championships. The property consists of our award-winning 18-Hole Championship Course, 9-Hole Par 3 Course, award-winning Practice Facilities, and The First Tee of GVR. We are a high-end daily fee golf course, offering a variety of annual memberships, tournament play, and public play.
Start Date: March 18th, 2024 (earlier start date negotiable)
This position is responsible for assisting with maintenance and repair of all equipment associated with the golf course. The position also assists in maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building, contributes to a preventative maintenance program, and places safety procedures as a top priority.
The Assistant Golf Course Mechanic is responsible for providing support in all areas related to agronomy and golf course maintenance operations. This includes but is not limited to: Maintain all equipment and vehicles to manufacturers specifications Assist in troubleshooting and repair of all equipment
Assist in keeping accurate, up to date and complete records on all equipment
Maintain a high level of quality of cut at all times on all cutting equipment; including reel grinding
Maintain a safe, clean and organized shop and work environment at all times
Check that all equipment is operating properly at all times and that machines do not have any worn parts or worn hydraulic hoses
Prioritize all equipment maintenance and repair
Communicate with management to ensure all equipment is safe to use and available for daily and weekly tasks
Special Qualifications:
Effective communication, teamwork, and work ethic
Punctual, honest, trustworthy, and reliability in performing duties with minimum supervision
Can work weekdays, weekends, and holidays
Adaptable to working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Safety conscious and responsible care of company property and subordinates
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience as mechanic
Working knowledge of small and large engines, reel mowers, hydraulics, electrical systems, diesel engines, automobiles and welding/fabrication
Compensation and Benefits:
