Registered Nurse-Med/Surg

Location: St. Johnsbury, Vermont
Pay Rate: $50/hr – $52/hr
Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, every other weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Experience: Minimum 3 years acute care experience required
EMR: Meditech

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Med/Surg for a night shift opportunity in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. This role is ideal for an RN with strong adult Med/Surg experience who can provide high-quality care in a critical access hospital setting, with occasional pediatric patient care as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care for adult Med/Surg patients with occasional pediatric patients

  • Support medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and pediatric care needs

  • Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary team members

  • Monitor patient condition and respond to clinical changes appropriately

  • Provide holistic, compassionate care based on patient needs

  • Document patient care accurately using Meditech

  • Work night shifts, every other weekend, and holiday coverage as needed

Requirements

  • Active Vermont Registered Nurse license or multi-state RN license required

  • Minimum 3 years acute care experience required

  • Adult Med/Surg experience required

  • BLS/BCLS required

  • ACLS required

  • Meditech experience preferred

  • Flu shot required with no exceptions

  • Must be able to start on 06/24/2026

  • Pediatric-only RNs should not be submitted
