About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Med/Surg for a night shift opportunity in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. This role is ideal for an RN with strong adult Med/Surg experience who can provide high-quality care in a critical access hospital setting, with occasional pediatric patient care as needed.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care for adult Med/Surg patients with occasional pediatric patients
Support medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and pediatric care needs
Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary team members
Monitor patient condition and respond to clinical changes appropriately
Provide holistic, compassionate care based on patient needs
Document patient care accurately using Meditech
Work night shifts, every other weekend, and holiday coverage as needed
Requirements
Active Vermont Registered Nurse license or multi-state RN license required
Minimum 3 years acute care experience required
Adult Med/Surg experience required
BLS/BCLS required
ACLS required
Meditech experience preferred
Flu shot required with no exceptions
Must be able to start on 06/24/2026
Pediatric-only RNs should not be submitted
