Job description

EP Lab RN โ€“ Electrophysiology Laboratory

Schedule

Shift: 4x10 days, with posted times of 08:00โ€“18:30 or 07:00โ€“17:30. Call required: 1 weekday call every 2 months (6:30 PMโ€“7:00 AM) and 1 on-call weekend every 2 months (24-hour coverage).

Assignment Details

Unit census: approximately 22 patients.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
  • Valid RN state license or compact license required at the time of submission.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required.
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Biology, or Chemistry.
  • 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager/director or formal leader.
  • Experience in electrophysiology lab procedures, device implantation, and cardiac interventions preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in electrophysiology procedures such as device implants, lead extraction, and cardiac ablation.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and provide post-procedural care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies for effective operation within the lab.
  • Adhere to safety protocols during procedures.

COVID-19 vaccination is not required; however, the flu vaccine is required (medical exemptions only). Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting as soon as the contract is signed. Pre-approved time off includes two requests submitted on time.
