The RN Shift Point Person provides operational and clinical leadership for weekend staff to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely response to patient and staff needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Assist clinical agent staff with escalations and problem-solving.
  • Support field staff with operational or clinical issues.
  • Supervise weekend staff under the direction of the triage/on-call team leader.
  • Assist with triage and/or dispatch during high call volume or staffing shortages
  • Maintain communication with patients and families who are awaiting nurse response for more than two hours.
  • Handle calls from external sources as needed.
  • Identify, escalate, and assist in the resolution of clinical concerns.
  • Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities as assigned.

SUCCESS CAPABILITIES:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio
  • Minimum of two years' hospice experience required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to provide real-time, constructive staff feedback and supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally and some light work and lifting requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds occasionally; work requires sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, standing, fingering, grasping and repetitive motions; vocal communication; hearing, and visual acuity.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Compliance to Annual Flu Shot Policy or ability to provide exemption documentation
  • Provide an active auto insurance policy as a licensed driver in the State of Ohio with the proper level of coverage as directed
  • Provide an active driver's license
  • Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High level of integrity, ethics and professionalism.
