Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN (Oncology Pod) – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, floating required as needed

Highlights:
  • Work in a specialized Oncology Pod within the Emergency Department, one of the few dedicated oncology emergency care settings in the country
  • Care for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility
  • 15-room unit with 19 beds serving complex cancer patients requiring urgent care
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
  • 14-week contract with possible 7 consecutive days off (facility discretion)
Requirements:
  • Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
  • At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
  • EPIC electronic medical record experience required
  • Oncology experience preferred but not required
  • Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
  • Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
  • Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • 2 professional references required (at least 1 from management/leadership)
  • Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
