Most communication and project updates happen asynchronously to align with team members in different time zones or working weekdays. This arrangement allows Weekend Developers to contribute meaningfully to team goals while maintaining flexibility, though it requires diligent self-organization and proactive communication.

Job description

CNO NetDev Developer
Make an Impact Where It Matters Most
At Intelliforce, we build mission-driven capabilities that help operators move faster, adapt quickly, and stay ahead in high-stakes environments. In this role, you will act as a general-purpose CNO reverse engineer focused on network-based devices, helping design, prototype, modify, and integrate solutions for emerging mission needs. You will work shoulder to shoulder with analysts, operators, data scientists, and software engineers to turn technical insight into mission-ready capability.
What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out
This role is a strong fit for an engineer who likes deep technical work with direct operational relevance. You will reverse engineer Linux-based network devices, augment existing toolsets, build prototypes to validate mission requirements, and develop end solutions that perform within real mission constraints. The work is hands-on, fast-moving, and varied, with a mix of reverse engineering, software development, fielded support, and close collaboration across mission teams.
At Intelliforce, your work is visible and your technical judgment matters. Because we support prime programs, our teams stay close to meaningful mission work with real momentum. Because we are a small business, leadership is accessible, communication is direct, and strong engineering gets noticed. Add in long-term stability, strong benefits, and a people-first culture, and this becomes more than another CNO role. It is a chance to build capabilities that support real mission outcomes from the start.
Here's What Your Day-to-Day Could Include
โ€ข Augment existing toolsets to support evolving mission needs
โ€ข Derive, document, and analyze technical and mission requirements
โ€ข Build prototypes to validate understanding of mission problems and operational needs
โ€ข Develop end toolsets that operate within real mission constraints
โ€ข Reverse engineer Linux-based network devices to understand functionality and opportunities
โ€ข Work closely with analysts, operators, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver tactical mission support
โ€ข Provide sustainment and support for fielded software systems
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph, must be active. We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances
โ€ข Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas
โ€ข 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree
โ€ข Or 10 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree
โ€ข Four additional years of relevant Software Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Required Skills
โ€ข Familiarity with Unix-based systems
โ€ข Experience with reverse engineering Linux-based network devices
โ€ข In-depth understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and analysis of network traffic using tools such as Wireshark
โ€ข Ability to produce and modify software systems in C, C++, Python, and Assembly
โ€ข Ability to provide support for fielded software systems
โ€ข Familiarity with Git and Subversion
โ€ข Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence
Desired Skills
โ€ข Experience with reverse engineering Windows or embedded platforms, including RTOS
โ€ข Experience with Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, or Rust
โ€ข Experience developing CNO-specific software in Linux, Windows, or embedded applications
โ€ข Experience with vulnerability research and exploit development
โ€ข Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems
โ€ข Experience with production CNO capabilities and operationsCompensation Range: $194,000.00 - $249,000.00
*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
