Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a hybrid Senior Mobile Software Engineer job in Bethesda, MD for our direct client in the hospitality industry. In this job, you will design, develop, and implement scalable mobile applications while leading technical workgroups, acting as a subject matter expert, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact mobile solutions.

Senior Mobile Software Engineer job responsibilities:

  • Participate in technical workgroups, resolve complex issues, and contribute to strategic design decisions
  • Research, analyze, design, and implement iOS and/or Android applications to meet user requirements
  • Develop high-quality, scalable mobile applications using native technologies
  • Collaborate with product leaders and cross-functional teams to define next-generation mobile solutions
  • Maintain and enhance large-scale mobile applications and drive innovation
  • Create and maintain technical documentation supporting application design and development
  • Lead technical efforts and provide subject matter expertise in mobile development
  • Ensure applications deliver measurable business value and strong user experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software development across multiple languages and methodologies
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in native mobile development (iOS and/or Android)
  • Experience with iOS technologies such as Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C preferred
  • Experience with Android technologies such as Kotlin and/or Java preferred
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, JSON, and data integration
  • Experience with modern mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVI
  • Familiarity with mobile frameworks such as Jetpack Compose and Android Architecture components preferred
  • Experience working with large-scale mobile applications preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
