Front Desk Representative - Deer Creek Racquet Club

Deer Creek Racquet Club - Highland Park, IL 60035

Overview

Description

Job Summary The Front Desk Representative is responsible for the facility and customer service operations during their shift. The employee should possess good interpersonal skills and be comfortable working independently. The Deer Creek Racquet Club Front Desk Representative may have the opportunity to work at Club Pickle and Padel as well. This is a year-round part-time position.

Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Job Duties Includes but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manager on Duty

  • Primary Manager on Duty in the absence of a supervisor.
  • Responsible for facility operations in the absence of management staff (typically early mornings, evenings and weekends).
  • Properly administers the policies and procedures for opening or closing Deer Creek Racquet Club while providing building support as needed.
  • During opening and closing shifts, perform walk through of building, check to ensure the facility is in good order.
  • Responds appropriately to participant and facility emergencies, including the completion of accident reports in a thorough, accurate and timely manner.
  • Initiates Emergency Action Plan when needed.

Customer Service

  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Be the face and voice of the facility.
  • Responsible for execution of the Park District customer service initiatives. Follows greeting standards and maintain knowledge of Park District programs and services. Provides accurate information.

Registration

  • Process all pickleball registration and memberships in Plan2Play.
  • Conduct monetary transactions and process all sale transactions.
  • Process all daily fees such as private lessons, court fees, and inventory.
  • Check in members and guests.
  • If scheduled to open, count, and verify cash drawers at start of shift.
  • If scheduled to close, complete daily close-out of Deer Creek Racquet Club POS systems as assigned.
  • Ensure accuracy on paperwork.

Other

  • Reconcile report discrepancies and problems.
  • Cooperate and communicate customer issues during respective shifts with co-workers.
  • Handle coverage of work conflicts with other team members.
  • Provide 48-hour advance notice of any work schedule changes.
  • Responsible for neatness, accuracy and balancing of all work processed.
  • Perform other Park District related work as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong consideration will be given to those who are 21 years of age or older due to serving alcohol, though not required.

Wage Range: $18.50 per hour flat rate

Classification: Part-Time, non-exempt

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an indoor office and pickleball play facility and is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
