Job description

Job Description:
We are looking for a caring and dependable Teacher Assistant to join our daycare team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and supports a safe, nurturing, and fun learning STEAM environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Help teach daily STEAM lessons
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and nap time
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
  • Follow daycare policies and safety procedures
  • Communicate respectfully with staff and parents

Requirements:

  • Experience in a daycare

Preferered:

  • Meets DCFS requirements for a lead teacher in a daycare center (one of the following):
    • 60 semester hours of college credit and 6 hours in child development OR
    • 1 year of child development experience in a school or licenced center and 30 hours of college credit OR
    • CDA or other recognized Early Learning Teaching Certificate
  • Assistant director certification
