Job description

Our Vision

To make buildings and spaces more visually interesting through custom millwork.

Our Mission

To be the building industry's leading crafter of products and solutions for custom and challenging exterior millwork.

At Whitewood Millwork, we don't just build millwork—we solve problems, create custom solutions, and help bring unique architectural visions to life. Every project presents new challenges, and we believe the best results come from people who are curious, engaged, and committed to continual growth.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position in our fabrication shop where you'll build custom exterior millwork using PVC trim, composite materials, and other specialty products. You'll help transform ideas, drawings, and challenges into finished solutions that enhance the appearance and performance of buildings.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to contribute to a team that values learning, collaboration, and innovation.

Given the custom nature of what we do, every job has its own unique process and there is no "typical" day. Generally your day could include some combination of starting from 4ftx16ft sheets of PVC, ripping them to rough dimensions on a table saw, performing glue ups, heat bending, shaping through a 5 head or single head molder, routing details by hand or machine, jointing, planing, creating jigs for assembly, sanding to final dimensions through a wide belt sanding machine, hand sanding to final finish with a DA, and properly labeling and quality checking all parts.

Who You Are

Curious - You want to understand not just how something is done, but why.

You enjoy learning about materials, fabrication methods, installation requirements, and the broader building process. You ask questions, seek answers, and look for opportunities to improve how things are done.

An Individual Contributor - You bring your own ideas, experiences, and perspective to the table.

You listen well, communicate openly, and understand that the best solutions often come from a team of people with different backgrounds and ways of thinking. You help create an environment where ideas can be shared, tested, and improved.

Committed to Continual Evolution - You understand that every project, challenge, and mistake is an opportunity to learn. You seek feedback, embrace change, and are always looking for ways to improve your skills, your processes, and the value you bring to the team.

Dependable - You show up prepared, work safely, and take pride in delivering quality work. You treat teammates, customers, vendors, and job sites with professionalism and respect.

What You'll Do

  • Fabricate custom exterior millwork with precision and attention to detail.
  • Work with PVC trim, composite products, and other specialty materials used in exterior applications.
  • Use fabrication equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Read drawings, specifications, and project information to produce accurate parts and assemblies.
  • Solve fabrication challenges and contribute ideas that improve products, processes, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teammates to share knowledge and support successful project completion.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Help us fulfill our mission by crafting solutions for complex and challenging exterior millwork projects.
  • This is an active manufacturing role that requires standing for extended periods of time, operation of machinery, material handling of up to 50lbs with team lifts for heavier materials, frequent bending, walking, and movement.

Experience That Helps (But Isn't Required)

  • Millwork, fabrication, woodworking, or construction experience
  • Experience working with PVC, composite materials, or exterior building products
  • Ability to read shop drawings or detailed specifications
  • Familiarity with hand tools and fabrication equipment
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
  • Familiarity with CAD programs
  • Familiarity with CNC machining

What We Offer

  • Full-time hours in a supportive and collaborative work environment
  • Paid time off so you can recharge and rest
  • Fully paid health insurance - we invest in your well-being
  • Opportunities for professional growth and skill development
  • A culture that values curiosity, individuality, and continual evolution
  • The opportunity to help shape the future of a growing company
  • Compensation based on your skills, experience, and the value you bring
  • Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm work week. No weekends.

A Final Note

We don't care much about perfect resumes or fancy titles. We're looking for people who are curious, engaged, dependable, and excited to learn. If you enjoy solving problems, building quality products, and contributing to a team that's constantly improving, we'd like to hear from you.

Together, we'll create custom millwork that makes buildings and spaces more visually interesting.
