Position Overview:
The Entry-Level Accountant supports the daily accounting operations of the company by assisting with financial recordkeeping, reconciliations, and basic reporting. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in accounting practices while working closely with experienced finance team members.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Prepare and post journal entries under supervision
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Assist with financial reports, spreadsheets, and audits
- Track expenses and ensure proper coding of transactions
- Respond to internal inquiries related to accounting data
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or in progress)
- One to Two years' experience. Internships are. considered in this requirement.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and move up to 20 pounds regularly.
