Responsibilities

WHAT WE ARE HIRING FOR

Our Group Fitness Instructors are responsible for instructing safe, educational and enjoyable fitness classes and, possibly, private training sessions.

The ideal applicant has the ability to teach beginner to advanced group classes and will have experience in a variety of class and exercise modalities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide Services: As the primary or instructor in class, you'll offer proper body alignment, modifications and supervision of fitness classes according to the Canyon Ranch and industry standards. You'll Plan routines, chooses appropriate music, and choose different movements/exercises depending on participants’ capabilities and limitations. Ensure and practices safe methods while instructing classes.
  • Personal Training: Performs individual or group private training sessions. Evaluates individuals’ abilities, needs and physical conditions, and develops suitable training programs to meet any special requirements.
  • Program Development: Creates and participates in new classes, programs, and lectures to deliver fresh programming for guests and Canyon Ranch Colleagues.
  • Experience with all of the follwing Hit, Dance,Fitness, Boot Camps, Cycling, Strength Training, resistance style classes, abs & Stretching.
  • Currently not looking for Barre, Pilates or Yoga Instructors.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Available to work early mornings, some evenings and/or weekends
  • CPR/AED/First Aid Certified within 90 days of hire
  • Nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification (current) & required
