What is a per diem CPR instructor?

A Per Diem CPR Instructor is a certified professional who teaches CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) courses on an as-needed or flexible basis, rather than as a full-time or part-time employee. They are often hired by organizations, schools, or healthcare facilities to provide training sessions when there is demand. Per Diem instructors may have other jobs and typically choose assignments that fit their schedule. Their main responsibilities include educating participants in life-saving CPR techniques, demonstrating skills, and ensuring students are competent in emergency response. This role is ideal for individuals who want a flexible work arrangement while helping others learn critical emergency skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a per diem CPR instructor, and why are they important?

Familiarity with training manikins, AED devices, and presentation software is typically required. Excellent communication, adaptability, and patience distinguish outstanding instructors who can effectively engage diverse learners. These skills and qualifications ensure that students are properly trained and confident in life-saving procedures, which is critical for public safety.

What are some common challenges faced by per diem CPR instructors, and how can they be addressed?
