Sales Consultant
Job Summary:

The Sales Consultant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while driving sales performance through consultative selling, relationship building, and proactive business development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Deliver exceptional customer experiences by engaging customers in a professional, courteous, and consultative manner aligned with Kimbrell’s Sales Model
·         Proactively drive business growth by generating store traffic and increasing sales through strategic social media engagement, community outreach, and local partnerships
·         Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and referrals while representing the company brand
·         Achieve established sales goals through proactive customer engagement, follow-up, and business development activities
·         Promote products, financing options, and add-on solutions to maximize sales and overall transaction value
·         Maintain current knowledge of product offerings, warranties, and promotions to support informed customer decisions
·         Accurately complete sales documentation, quotes, and order details in compliance with company policies
·         Process transactions (cash, credit, and installment sales) accurately and ensure proper handling of payments and receipts
·         Maintain accountability for cash handling and resolve transaction discrepancies in collaboration with management
·         Support showroom operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor
·         Assist with merchandising, product assembly, and furniture movement as needed
·         Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and professional conduct expectations
·         Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Abilities:

·         Strong customer service and relationship-building skills with a consultative sales approach.
·         Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals with a high level of motivation and competitive drive.
·         Effective verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
·         Ability to influence purchasing decisions through product knowledge and solution-based selling.
·         Organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and transaction processing.
·         Basic mathematical proficiency for calculating totals, pricing, and financing terms.
·         Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a retail environment.
·         Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve customer concerns promptly.
·         Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
·         Physical capability to lift, move, and arrange furniture (10–100+ pounds).
·         Flexibility to work retail schedules, including weekends and extended hours.
Required Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant sales or customer service experience will be considered
·         Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred
·         Previous social media business building experience preferred
·         Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and deliver strong customer experiences
·         Basic computer skills and ability to learn point-of-sale and financing systems
·         Ability to perform physical job requirements, including lifting and moving merchandise with or without accommodation
·         Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
·         Bilingual (English-Spanish) ability may be a plus based on specific store staffing needs
