Job description

Beghou brings over three decades of experience helping life sciences companies optimize their commercialization through strategic insight, advanced analytics, and technology. From developing go-to-market strategies and building foundational data analytics infrastructures to leveraging artificial intelligence to improve customer insights and engagement, Beghou helps life sciences companies maximize performance across their portfolios. Beghou also deploys proprietary and third-party technology solutions to help companies forecast performance, design territories, manage customer data, organize, and report on medical and commercial data, and more. Headquartered in Evanston, Illinois, we have 10 global offices.

Our mission is to bring together analytical minds and innovative technology to help life sciences companies navigate the complexity of health care and improve patient outcomes.

As a Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work with and learn from senior managers and partners, collaborating together to develop, achieve, and succeed with every project. We have had steady growth throughout our history because the people we hire are committed not only to delivering quality results for our clients, but also to becoming leaders in sales and marketing analytics.

Beghou Consulting allows you to develop a wide range of skills across many practice areas, giving you a greater understanding of the life sciences and consulting industries. Ideal candidates for the Consultant role demonstrate leadership potential, integrity, problem-solving skills, and the communication skills necessary to work with clients and people at all levels of our firm.

We'll Trust you to:
  • Develop code to ingest, clean, and process life sciences client data, both autonomously and with team members.
  • Build/run/troubleshoot data processes, create and maintain reports and processes, perform analyses, ensure data accuracy, and develop client projects and deliverables, such as advanced dashboards and slide decks, while meeting deadlines for clients.
  • Synthesize results and communicate with clients regarding data processing and ongoing projects, ensuring consistent expectations of deliverables.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients on ongoing projects, as well as a liaison between the client and consulting team; lead client sub-teams to ensure consistent expectations and timely, error-free delivery.
  • Guide, train, and oversee the work of Associate Consultants.
  • Independently complete more advanced analytical work.
  • Gain confidence working in a collaborative environment across team, organization, and client.
  • Perform other project work based on client needs and internal team requests.
You'll need to have:
  • A PhD or a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant professional experience. While we do not specify a list of majors, we seek candidates who demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative aptitude, in addition to an interest and aptitude for coding, through coursework or other experience.
  • Strong academic track record
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate active listening skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with others and adapt quickly
  • Ability to effectively lead small groups
  • Basic coding skills (Python, SAS, SQL, etc.); knowledge of data visualization software, such as Tableau or Power BI, preferred.
Who we're looking for:
  • At Beghou Consulting, we welcome individuals from all backgrounds who can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to our team. We’re seeking driven, curious, and solution-oriented individuals. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
  • Leadership Potential: You’re proactive, take ownership of your work, and inspire others to do the same.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You enjoy tackling challenges and finding creative, effective solutions while exercising attention to detail
  • Integrity: You’re committed to doing the right thing, always.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You can articulate ideas clearly and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Technical proficiency: You possess coding skills in languages such as Python, R, SQL or similar, with the ability to apply these skills to data modeling, analysis and problem solving.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Beghou, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $90,000 to $110,000.

We are currently unable to consider candidates who require, or will require in the future, sponsorship for work authorization . Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
