Summary of Position

The Summit Kids Director is responsible for fulfilling the vision of Summit Kids and the Summit Church by partnering with Summit Church parents in order to raise up a generation of Christ-followers at their campus.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity

  • Ability to disciple volunteers and families

  • Ability to recruit and coordinate volunteers

  • Good leadership and people skills

  • Supervising/management experience (preferred)

  • Kids Ministry experience (preferred)

  • A team player willing to do what is best for the gospel, The Summit Church and the Summit Kids ministry

  • Member of Summit Church or willing and able to become a member

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the spiritual development of Summit Kids through ministry programs and events at your campus

  • Cast vision and implement Summit Kids ministry strategy for your campus

  • Recruitment, coordination, and communication of Summit Kids volunteers

  • Develop volunteers through training, discipleship, and encouragement

  • Equip volunteers to effectively use the approved Summit Kids' curriculum, including the distribution all curriculum supplies

  • Attend Campus specific meetings and events

  • Attend Summit Kids specific meetings and events

  • Attend monthly All Staff meetings

  • Communicate the needs of your campus Summit Kids with Kids Pastor and Campus Pastor as often as needed

  • Responsible for the upkeep of the Summit Kids space at your campus

The hours for this position are expected to be 40 hours per week. As one church that meets in many locations, there are several times throughout the year that Summit holds church-wide events in an effort to do whatever it takes to reach all people. All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold. Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event and, when possible, staff are given the opportunity to select the area in which they would like to serve.
