What are some common challenges faced by employees working in a weekend clothing store, and how can they be managed?

Employees working in a weekend clothing store often experience high customer traffic and increased sales volume during peak hours. This can make multitasking and time management essential, as staff are expected to assist customers, restock merchandise, and maintain store cleanliness simultaneously. Job description

Do you have a passion for fashion? Does helping people find great deals excite you? If the answer is yes, then we’re looking for you!

Cucamonga Clothing Exchange is a Buy Sell Trade store in the Rocklin Crossings shopping center. We pride ourselves on name brand and quality clothing at amazing prices, with a team that delivers exceptional customer service. We're a small, community-focused business with a commitment towards achieving sustainability. We also have a non-profit, CucaCares, that supports local and national charities like Blood Cancer United (formerly Leukemia and Lymphoma Society).

We're currently seeking a supervisor who's ready to step up, demonstrating strong leadership skills and taking initiative on creative projects. You'll be helping to run the store alongside the manager, to ensure smooth business operations and excellent team performance. This is very much a hands-on kind of role, which thrives on a can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset.

What the role entails:

  • Running the store smoothly and confidently (especially when the manager is off), including opening and closing procedures
  • Leading and supporting a small team, while keeping a positive outlook and maintaining higher standards
  • Helping customers on the floor and jumping in wherever you're needed (you'll be side by side with the team, not just managing from a distance)
  • Keeping the store looking sharp, including displays, mannequins, signage, cleanliness, and overall visual appeal
  • Posting daily to our social media (Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook); keeping up with comments and messages
  • Handling day-to-day tasks: cash handling, light paperwork, conducting floor assessments, tracking and ordering supplies
  • Being the go-to person for answering questions/concerns and resolving conflicts; referring to the manager when needed

What the role requires:

  • A genuine love of fashion: you follow the latest trends, you know the popular labels, and you get thrilled about a great find (we refer to this as ‘treasure hunting’)
  • Some supervisory or lead experience in retail (you're comfortable coordinating employees, delegating tasks, and onboarding/training)
  • A warm, friendly presence with customers and coworkers alike
  • Someone who's highly dependable, organized, and adaptable
  • Comfortable with using both analog and digital systems
  • Able to stand for extended periods, stoop, squat, and lift up to 30 lbs.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants greater responsibility and a role they can grow into, at a store with a great atmosphere and a team that supports each other.
