Job description

Annual salary range: $116,833.60 min. - $169,416.00 max.


Reporting to the Director of Education and Professional Development, this position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Redlands Community Hospital. Through demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill, and competence, the Clinical Educator facilitates learning, educational experiences, and educational activities for personnel through direct and indirect methods. They participate in the onboarding and orientation of staff, competency management, continuing education programs, and building collaborative relationships. They assist the Director of Education with program development and projects to drive improvements in clinical and professional role performance, patient care quality, and cost. The Clinical Education Facilitator models' professional roles and behaviors that assist personnel in acquiring competency, knowledge, and clinical skills, demonstrating accountability and responsibility in clinical practice while adhering to the Patients First philosophy of safety, compassion, and efficiency. They function as a change agent to improve patient care and supports interdisciplinary collaboration.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:


  1. Bachelor's degree in related field required; master's degree preferred for Clinical Education Facilitator for Clinical/Non-Clinical; or BSN required; MSN preferred for Clinical Education Facilitator supporting Nursing;
  2. Four years' experience in acute care clinical enviornment required.
  3. Demonstrated progressive teaching and communication skills preferred.
  4. Two years' experience with program/course design, presentation, and evaluation preferred.
  5. Knowledge of computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail functions) required.

 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:


  1. Current State Clinical License for Clinical/Non-Clinical Facilitator or Current State RN License required for Nursing
  2. Current CPR instructor certification required within 6 months of hire.
  3. Current ACLS instructor certification required within 6 months of hire.
  4. Current PALS instructor certification required within 6 months of hire
