Job Purpose
The Bar Manager leads all bar operations to ensure an elevated guest experience, strong beverage execution, and consistent team performance. This role oversees bartenders and bar support staff, manages inventory and ordering, ensures adherence to beverage standards, and drives revenue through efficient service and smart cost controls.

The Bar Manager partners closely with Front of House and culinary leadership to uphold Putteryโ€™s standard of high-energy service, exceptional cocktails, and seamless nightlife-inspired hospitality.
Responsibilities
  • Lead daily bar operations, ensuring consistent beverage quality, service speed, and guest satisfaction.
  • Train, coach, and develop bartenders and barbacks to maintain strong service skills, menu knowledge, and proper preparation techniques.
  • Oversee bar scheduling, staffing levels, and shift deployment to meet business needs.
  • Manage inventory, conduct weekly counts, track variances, and place orders to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Uphold cost controls by monitoring pour accuracy, waste reduction, and product utilization.
  • Ensure the bar remains clean, organized, and in full compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Collaborate with the culinary and operations teams on menu updates, featured cocktails, and promotional events.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, resolving issues with composure and sound judgment.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing performance management for bar staff.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures consistently and accurately.
  • Maintain POS accuracy for all bar-related items, modifiers, and inventory controls.
  • Assist with venue activations, special events, and large-party beverage logistics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2โ€“4 years of bar leadership experience in a high-volume bar, restaurant, nightclub, or entertainment venue.
